The Economist: Fatherland, Socialism or Death (link)

This article on The Economist talks about Hugo Chávez’s education program. The infuriating irony and doublespeak finds its apex with the statement that private schools would not be abolished, but that if they did not implement Chavez’s education program, they would be taken over by the state.

Why even modify the Venezuelan constitution? They should get it over with and replace it with Orwell’s statement: ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL, BUT SOME ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS.
