Do You Feel the Vibrations?

If you have a cell phone or PDA, you may have turned on it’s vibrate-only feature sometimes. I use it so I won’t disturb meetings with an obnoxious ring tone, or attract cellphone thieves. I fear I have permanently damaged my psyche though, because now I feel my phone vibrating even when it isn’t in my pocket! I sometimes feel a vibration, and it hasn’t rung, but I usually call the person I think was calling me (and I’m not superstitious).

I guess I am not the only one driven to tactile hallucinations by my use of cell-phones and PDAs. This CNN article talks about the phenomenon. Soon we’ll need a twelve-step program to restore sanity to millions of gadget addicts worldwide.

Hallucinated vibrations attributed to a cell phone maybe means that you have to call someone special, Aarón.
By the way…I must return soon to read all the posts I have missed
Te saludo

I read this article too, and I thought it was interesting. I wonder what its called though when you HEAR your phone ringing, and it really isn’t? I rarely have my phone on vibrate, because I have so much going on, either I don’t hear it or feel it, LOL. However tons of times I will “hear” it ring, and I go to answer it, and no one has called.
Maybe they should do research on that. Or maybe I should just check into the manacomio, LOL.

LOL, auditory hallucinations are the first sign of schizophrenia, my inner voices are saying. They are usually right, so talk to your friendly neighborhood psychiatrist, and wear your garlic in a visible place.

Thanks calma-adán, donbeto, and catracha for your comments. I get fake cellphone-tremors from reading them.
