I could write a paragraph of 5 million exclamation marks, I’m so excited! After 5 years of stress, I’m finally GO for launch. I’m moving to Monterrey, Mexico!

The young people in this video are the band at the church I’ll be serving. Four of them are my sister’s kids, they are very musical and talented, but they’re very young (14-20). I hope to be able to help them improve as musicians, and contagious worship leaders.

My friends and counselors gave me words of encouragement and caution. One said that he has wanted to start a church in Olancho, but since he’s married and has several kids, he doesn’t want them to suffer. Another told me that unless God closed the doors, I should go. One of my closest friends simply asked me if I wanted to go, and warned me that temptations would be ten times easier to fall into over there. Finally my pastor told me that I should go, but to be prepared for all kinds of hardships, and not to misinterpret them as abnormal.

It’ll be hard to leave them, it’s taken me quite a while to develop strong friendships. All that will have to start over again. I hope to be very busy, and to have the support of the rest of the team to help me sort that out.
