Coburn and Obama on Honduras
5
Obama has been reported using Honduras as an example, in Russia, of why the US supports democracy…and that the US will no impose a leader on any nation. (cough, cough, Irak..cough cough, Panama, cough cough). I would have hoped he is true to his words and will not impose Zelaya on Honduras. But he insisted on saying that Zelaya is the constitutionally elected president. I wish I had a book on political science to give him, instead of the one Chávez gave him.
Zelaya has said that he will return to Honduras after speaking to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. How many people will die this time?

Speaking on the book chavez gave obama…you have no idea how many venezuelan or leftist bloggers have been harrasing hondubirding with nonsense and prochavez BS.
And they are such cowards that they wont publish my well mannered and respectful remarks on their BS attacks to my blog…another characteristic of leftists I guess. c´est la vie.
Hope all goes well today and we get the support of the States.!
"How many people will die this time?"
I think you may be stretching by blaming the deaths on Zelaya's attempt to return. The army has killed civilians according to numerous blogs. Zelaya is the democratically elected president. Couldn't he be allowed to return and hold special elections? I don't understand how martial law and civilian deaths are worth the symbolism of denying entry to Zelaya. I hated Bush for 8 years and am convinced that he stole the 1st term and used propaganda for his 2nd, but I would never support a military action against him to prevent exactly the same violence that we are seeing in Honduras today. Zelaya will become a more powerful representative of the people with each new civilian death.
I agree with you Fritz, I deplore civilian deaths in the hands of the military, but I think that it is more likely Isis Murillo was killed by the protesters themselves in the disorder.
Chavez and Zelaya are indirectly responsible for his death, and to a lesser degree, Micheletti. No one is 100% correct in this.
But if everyone, including OAS members Costa Rica and Panama, Hugo Chavez, and the Cardinal of Honduras said that Zelaya's return could bring about a bloodbath, how could Zelaya have been so callous to try anyway?
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."
Thomas Jefferson, 1787.
Wow, Anon, that quote is profound.
