Chavez has condemned US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for supporting a dialogue between deposed president Manuel Zelaya, and Interim President Roberto Micheletti. He called it a “fatal error”, and says that the dialogue is “dead before it began”. This explains why Ortega was unwilling to let Micheletti fly over Nicaraguan airspace.

Mel Zelaya’s words reflect Hugo’s completely. Zelaya said, just after stepping out of the plane in San Jose, that he deplored that President Arias would recieve “criminals” like Micheletti. He has also said that anything the interim government does is “void”, “illegitimate” and are “crimes”. Could you quote me those laws, Mr. Zelaya?

Oscar Arias, President of Costa Rica, has said that negotiations could take a long time, as both sides are unwilling to budge. Zelaya has stepped up his rhetoric, making some outrageous statements, that unfortunately, I didn’t have time to research today. more information later, when I catch up on my work!
