Friday Manuel Zelaya said, “either the coup is reversed or generalized violence in coming”, as reported by the AFP. But Saturday he said “I am not forming any armed military force” reported by Reuters. His statements this week have been oxymoronic; someone needs to throw a dictionary at him. But wait, that might be taken as violence.
Manuel Zelaya has always maintained that he wanted a constitutional assembly to enhance democracy in Honduras, and that he didn’t want to stay in power. With a record like his, how much credit do his words deserve?
