The Pew Research Center for People and the Press has published the results of a survey asking people to rate how well the media reported fact (29%) and how well they avoided taking sides in partisan issues (18%). The downward trend suggests that things will continue to get worse, for now.

There is nothing like being here in Honduras in the middle of this and watching how the US and international media report. I knew there was media bias, I just never knew it was so bad. It’s incredibly frightening. I honestly doubt everything I read now. I wonder what really happened in Iran? Silly? Paranoid? I don’t think so.
I agree completely. I never knew that the United States would take the side of someone like Mel Zelaya! When I ask some Americans why they have taken his side, they say because he was overthrown in a coup, which violates the democratic system. However, no one seems to understand that he violated the democratic system to begin with, and that is why he was arrested. It seems like people don’t even have the ability to think critically about an issue anymore. I am very worried about what will happen in November. I’ve already heard that some of the other Latin American countries will refuse to acknowledge whomever is elected this November because “the government will still be the one that supports the coup.”
I am really starting to question the Obama administration’s agenda. It is very interesting to watch how they are dealing with Iran versus how they are dealing with Honduras. What are their motives and how are they using the media to support their ideology?
