Despensa Familiar after vandalism

Vandals using Zelaya’s words as an excuse ransacked a supermarket in Tegucigalpa last night, and robbed a bank and an electronics store. Zelaya’s supporters prevented the police from entering the zone, giving the opportunity for the perpetrators.

The events occured last night in the Pedregal neighborhood. The businesses affected were a Guatemalan-owned Despensa Familiar, Mexican bank Banco Azteca, and Elektra, also Mexican-owned.
