US CRS: Zelaya’s Removal Legal, But Not Extradition
9
The US Congressional Research Service, a non-partisan congressional committee, has found the interpretation and application of the Honduran constitution that led to the removal of Jose Manuel Zelaya Rosales to be legal. It has also found, however that his extradition was in direct violation of the constitution. In any case, he should have been tried, and if found guilty, stripped of his citizenship, and then deported.
The military, who obeyed the Supreme Court’s arrest warrant, were not authorized to extradite him. They did so, according to a military lawyer, to prevent bloodshed. This situation is under investigation in Honduras.

Is this the “smoking gun”?
Well, as far as I know…what do you think?
Well, I just saw this on a vehemently pro-Zelaya blog:
“Mark my words: everyone who wants an excuse to walk away from Honduras will use this report to do so– unless the report is swiftly and accurately opposed.”
So somebody is getting worried!
Haha, the truth, and more, the law is against them
It’s getting better!:
“I have a preliminary comment at my blog, and have passed it to RAJ for more in-depth analysis. This will have to be answered, and in the near-term.”
and:
“I’d heard about it. Definitely needs a response. Such colonialist arrogance. And such a profound miscomprehension about the nature of democracy, true justice, and their relationship to the Law”
They’re getting rattled!!
I wondered how long it would take for the rebuttal of the CRS report to surface:

So we have an Anthropology professor rebutting a senior trained lawyer of many years experience.
I LOVE the effrontery of these people.
The lady doth protest too much, methinks. (Hamlet Act 3, scene 2, 222–230)
If there professors it is because they couldn’t use there book smarts to get jobs in the real world.
It is still check mate and I couldn’t even read all that garbage. It took three months to figure out what we knew in 24 hours. Now they got 2 lawyers from tow sides looking at it. I suspect it will take 2 years to argue that.
elections are in 64 days. Zelaya has been out of office 91 days. Negro Velasuez the wise laborer and excellent soccer player was the first to laugh at San Jose and said they would be negotiating until the election. I guess possesion is realy 9/10ths of the law.
Where is Petes website?
That is rich. An anthropologist refuting a constitutional lawyer. I added a comment to her post saying this (respectfully). I wonder if it will show up.
Well, you got a reply.
Mind you, it’s the stock answer they give to anyone who dares to even criticise their warped minds.
They make me laugh – I follow these pro-Zelaya blogs to see how their minds work – most of them are US university professors – I pity the poor zombies that are turned out with degrees after this lot have got hold of them – and I thought the Moonies were the brainwashing experts – no longer!
