Zelaya Wants More Protests
8

Manuel Zelaya at the Brazilian Embassy
I suspect Mr. Zelaya got another phone call from Chavez this morning asking him to create a violent excuse for UN intervention. Or maybe Zelaya misinterpreted the candidates’ cautious tiptoe to his side as full support. Or perhaps the Reina brothers are unhappy with his negotiations, and wish to stir the cauldron without consulting him.
How would we explain otherwise, that a few hours ago on Channel 36, Eduardo Reina has read a statement from Zelaya that expresses dissatisfaction with yesterday’s meeting with the presidential candidates and called for continued prostests by his followers? His continual swerves to this side or that and outrageous statements have already sparked the ridicule of some US media outlets. This one could cost him even more. His statement:
“Exhortamos la Resistencia a mantener la batalla hasta que juntos, pueblo y presidente, logren las refomas constitucionales y la caída de los usurpadores.”
“We exhort the resistance to maintain the battle until together, people and president, you achieve the constitutional reforms and the fall of the usurpers.”
Zelaya, with more protests, you’re only hurting your own credibility and giving all Hondurans a massive migraine.

Not to mention that he verifies once again that he has no intention of complying with the Arias Accord which states that he will drop all constituyente activity under any name he may call it (or something to that effect).
Immediately after he met with Clinton and “said” that he agreed to the Accord, he was interviewed by CNN (Esp) and clearly stated that he would continue with the constitutional reform. Immediately afterward! The nerve of this guy! However, every single media outlet and the US State department continued to say that Zelaya agreed and Micheletti refused.
Honestly, Aaron, you would think that there is no one in the USA who speaks Spanish. If it isn’t spoken in English, it just doesn’t exist.
Good catch on this!
They think the local media are biased and trust the international media instead, who ARE biased
“Manuel Chancleta” ill call him, as in Flip Flop Mel
He must be listening to paty again.
The resistencia just passed by the office, they look all spliffy and nice with their red bandanas and che guevaras…merely sheep.
Well he has recovered from the radiation but is now suffering from some kind of gas he claims is hydrogen chloride. Is that by any chance a white powdery substance?
Or does he burn it with baking soda, and then smokes it after it hardens?
This story finally blew up in the media. However, this time it is working in the favor of the nice pretty white shirts. I cant keep up with the reading all the major media outlets are producing 3 to 4 articles a day. The blogs have tripled and quadrupled and are filled with new names. Almost all of them get it.
He is almost out of cards and it looks like the international campaign to restore him is waning.
They blew off the OAS. Arias is coming instead with Panamas President. They are calling it the Rio connection. But, Arias says he has no plans yet to travel.
Soon more countries will work toward seeing that we have good elections. Z man will be left with nothing but Fidel,Hugo,Ortega,Correa, and Evo. Check mate!
Congratulations to all those that have worked so hard on the blogs to overcome the mis-information campaign.
From here forward the rest of the world is running with it. Time for us to relax and enjoy.
Restitution or Death! That is proof that he still thinks he is above the law. He does not see jail as a possibility and that is what he should start negotiating on. I say he drops everything and Honduras allow him to build his own jail with any amenities he likes. Maybe they will put Rixi inside it.
Before I go to bed I need to find one more good laugh from Zelaya. He is the gift that just keeps giving.
As usual Andy (alias honduras94, alias honduras94@aol.com), your information is incorrect.
The substance being quoted by various news agencies and more-informed blogs is in fact hydrogen cyanide, a completely different substance to hydrogen chloride.
I suggest you spend your time using Google to discover the difference.
As for your quote above:
“Congratulations to all those that have worked so hard on the blogs to overcome the mis-information campaign.
From here forward the rest of the world is running with it. Time for us to relax and enjoy.”
I would suggest that your optimism is overplaced. There are many more episodes to this saga that have yet to be played out, and the end result is far from clear.
If, as you say in other blogs, you have been blogging on many sites in the US, then I hope that what you have been saying there makes more sense and is more accurate than your comments on Aaron’s blog. There is enough mis-information and asinine commenting circulating already which is not helping us to promote the plight of Honduras.
Excuse me Mr Pete!
So I mix up a chemical and that means nothing else I have said anywhere is valid. Thank God for Honduras there are perfect people such as yourself.
Read what I said again…slowly.
I agree with you Pete!
I was having a faith full moment
Many twist coming and then some.
In my heart of hearts God is with us and will in the end.
We are up against a devil.
Zelaya’s antics will work against him.
