Graffiti on Cambridgeport, Massachusetts sidewalk
I’ve been working as a consultant for the past 4 months, and my contract ended this month. Once the project was finished, and my participation lessened I knew the time had come to look for a new position. At least I expected a weeks notice…but I only got 1 day’s notice. Still, I am very glad to have worked for our client and would gladly do it again.
I’m quite suddenly out of work, but feel good about that. I was expecting it, though not as suddenly, and have enough savings for the rest of the year. While I’d love an job that involves more creativity, like a music or media-related, or even a teaching position, I think I’ll focus on my specialty, ABAP programming.
In the meantime, I have two projects screaming for attention; I’ll be directing my own musical, which I co-authored in 2003, (my first experience as a director) and my band, The Ted Williams Show, is going to record our first EP in a week. That means I’m glad for the extra time.
P.S. The situation in Honduras is looking a lot more hopeful, and finally the media are portraying a balanced story. Victory!
