The government of Roberto Micheletti decided to remove the state of exception decree that severely curtailed Constitutional freedoms in Honduras and led to the closure of the two incendiary pro-Zelaya news media. Zelaya is calling Micheletti’s action a meaningless gesture and a “mockery” in a phone call with Reuters.

I find the phone call with Reuters much more interesting than Zelaya’s statement. Could repeated phone conversations with Zelaya be the reason Reuters has peppered their the reporting with the same language and points of view as Zelaya’s supporters?

I am exhausted with the crisis, and have given myself a break from blogging about it, while concentrating on music and theater. I’ve been writing a musical, and churning out a song a day, with my bandmates. Hopefully I can post some of our work later on.
